WE ARE WHAT WE THINK. ALL THAT WE ARE ARISES WITH OUR THOUGHTS. WITH OUR THOUGHTS, WE MAKE THE WORLD.

—BUDDHA

WHEN VALUES ALIGN, GREAT THINGS HAPPEN.

OUR PHILOSOPHY: PEOPLE, PLANET, PURPOSE

Yuva’s style of investing is a strategy that blends high-impact and factor-based investing to align your personal values with your investments while making a positive social and environmental impact.

Invest your money to change the world. That’s the idea behind Yuva’s way of investing. It’s a new frontier for many of us who want to invest with a conscience. It’s a balance approach employing the principles from both Impact and Factor investing. My way is different than traditional Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). SRI usually means investing in publicly available mutual funds that essentially strive to do “no harm.” Basically, SRI means NOT investing in companies that get low ratings on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance factors (collectively known as ESG). A whole industry has sprung up to provide ESG ratings that mutual funds use to screen for acceptable stocks and bonds.

By contrast, the Yuva way is about funding change directly.

High-impact focused companies for example, lend money to organizations that are making a difference at the household level — by selling things like inexpensive solar-powered lamps to families that normally burn kerosene. The result is access to better lighting for less money with no pollution. Yuva investors make a return, while family health, finances and the environment benefit. This is at least a “triple bottom line.”
